Dear future host family,
I am Ana María, I am 20 years old. I am from Colombia. I was born in Bogotá. I grew up in this place with mountains, mystery and good people. All my life I have lived in this city, I live here with my mother Ana, my three uncles, the older one Cesar, the middle Mauricio, and the
younger Diego, and my big brother Kevin. In my house we have much pets like cats, dogs and birds, is a big house.
I studied in a school with emphasis in education, its name is Escuela Normal
Superior Distrital Maria Montessori. In this place I learned about pedagogy and I
had the opportunity of teach for first time. I taught to kids of eight years old until
ten years old, for two semester, in this time I learned how teach literature with super
Heros and learn of the kids. In the time of the school I loved sing in the institucional
choir and in the chorus ¡Canta, Bogotá canta! a distrital project of chorus of the
distrital schools of the city. I had friends and moments very important for my life
thanks to this, I was able to travel, appear on tv and sing in different scenarios like
Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo and Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitan among others.
When I finished the school I start study bachelor of arts education in the
Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas where I discover all languages of
the art like expression, communication and creation, I love what I do and how the
art can open much possibilities in special with the kids
What can I tell you about myself? I am a responsible, nice, really patient and
empathic girl. In my daily routine, I am organized, resolute and dynamic. I enjoy
having quality time with my family, friends, and with my pets too. I love animals. I
am a person who wants to do many things, I like to discover new things: people,
places, cultures.
I like travelling , I believe that it's a good way to meet new people and new places, I
enjoy singing and watch movies or tv shows, I like ride the bicycle,I love attending
concerts and visit museums too. I love this place. I like reading and doing crafts in
my free time. Also, I use to walk in the city or in the natural with my pet, my friends
or my family, especially with my family. I like driving and shopping with my mother
and eat burger with my brother and my father
As for my experience with children. Since I was kid I love teach. In my house lived
two littler girls, with they I learned much things and I did my first connection with
teach. I was nine years old and they were four and six years old.
Like I said before I worked with kids during two semester, in the second semester of
2016 and first semestre of 2017 I did a workshop and I planned activities and
games in a school strip, also in 2015 I did accompaniment with kids of the 4 until 6
years old in the school like social work during one year. In this years I taught and
play with the kids, in the school we do planning and reporting about the class
In the university I did differents class about lenguajes of art with people since six years
old until twenty years old or more, here i did activities and games of exploration and
creativity. In this year (2021) I did class of art and creation with kids of second grade
of the school.
And in 2020 I have teach and I taken care one little girl of 6 years old, with she I did
school tutoring and we played in the free time, In 2021 I have taken care and I did
school tutoring to one girt of eight years old. I needed to be creative so they do not
get bored.
Also, I would add that I have driven since early 2021 when I got the license, reason
why I could be a good option if I'd have to take the kids them somewhere.
The reason why I decided to do this is the pleasure of making an adventure in
another country in a family atmosphere, which I really value. I want know new cities,
new people, new places of learn, new museums and a new experience, I want learn
the languages and study what else I can. I am a dreamy woman.
I am really excited with this opportunity, I know that to live with your children and with you, in a different country like USA, will increase my personal background and I will learn a lot. Likewise, I'd love to become a part of your family.
