Dear host family, my name is Ana Carolina, I'm 27 years old and I'm from Brazil. I love to be in the company of the cutest beings in the world: babies, children and pets. In my profile picture I'm holding my cousin João Pedro. It was a pleasure for me to help his mother in the care of the baby in the first months of life. I am responsible, aware and it is a pleasure for me to offer excellent care for others.
I worked as a nursing technician at an oncology hospital in Brazil. In that job, I was responsible for providing hygiene care to patients, children, adults and the elderly, such as bathing, changing diapers, checking vital signs, administering medications according to medical prescriptions, deal with feeding tubes and taking care of their general well-being. Being here in America I took a course to play first Aid/CPR/AED for Adults and Children Certified by the American Red Cross.

My most recently experience caring for children it is with my current host family. I take care of 2 kids. A baby who is now 10 months old and a boy who is 2 years old. The baby was born one day after my arrival and I'm having the opportunity to watch her and her brother grown since then. See all the changes and milestones that they are reaching throughout the months it's a privilege sight of life. The bond and connection with the kids it's also very special and rewarding to me.

Finally, you would probably like to know a little bit about my personality. I see myself as a curious person interested in knowing a little bit about everything. I like art, history and culture. I love to travel and personally see places where important events happened in the past, where other civilizations lived, where life was totally different from what we know today. I love to read and I have the hobby of writing. I like to create stories and traveling is a source of inspiration. My taste for travel, added to the opportunity to work with what I like, which is taking care of babies and children, is what made the Aupair exchange so interesting for me.
