Dear Host Family,

My name is Dominique, and I’m an advertising graduate, very outgoing and communicative. I enjoy reading, traveling, singing, dancing, and making new friends. I’m passionate about learning about other cultures and languages. I am self-taught when it comes to languages, and I learned English practically on my own.

I see this immersive exchange program as a fantastic opportunity for personal growth, as it will allow me to do everything I love and interact with children in a way that will undoubtedly be both exciting and joyful. I've always wanted a younger sister, and this is the perfect opportunity for that.

During my childhood and teenage years, I participated in dance groups and sang in church. I also helped out in the media department, mainly taking photos and editing videos. In the children's ministry, I cared for kids, told stories, organized recreational activities, and created dance choreographies for special events.

I inherited my passion for media from my father, who was always with his camera capturing every move we made. My love for children comes from my mother. She always said that children are simple and genuine; when they like someone, it’s genuine, and when they don’t, they need to be respected, won over, and cared for.

Respect doesn’t mean forcing them to like you; love involves creating opportunities to be together and understanding a child’s difficulties, finding out why they might not warm up immediately. Winning them over means showing interest, becoming a friend, and being available to help. Caring means looking after their physical and emotional well-being.

I’m also very fond of art. It has always been one of my passions since I was a little girl, especially music and photography. Singing is one of the things that I love most in the world and I would love to sing with you sometime.

In addition to everything I've mentioned, I recently developed a huge passion for makeup and Formula 1. I know these are two areas completely unrelated to my background, but I’ve been following this year’s racing season and I’m extremely excited about it.

In my free time, I usually spend it with my family or a few close friends. We enjoy going to the mall, movies, restaurants, occasionally to some club and in the summer we love to take some ice-creams and go to swimming clubs. I also like to stay home sometimes and just watch some TV shows while eating popcorn.

I’m excited to become your new au pair and share a little bit of my family’s love with you all.
