Dear Host Family,
My name is Gabriela, I’m 26 years old and I live in Belo Horizonte a beautiful brazilian city. I am a careful and attentive nanny with more than 10 years of experience with babies, children and teens. Love, patience and attention are the foundation of my relationtionship with the children. I love being part of their routine, help them to learn new things and developing their creativity through activities inside and outside the home. I’m an excellent cook, and the children always love what I cook for them.
I work with children since I was 14, leading a cell and kids service in my church and I feel very privileged for this. I’ve always been in love for kids and the way they see the world. How they teach us about humility, empaty and love. I really love to see a child smile, and mainly to know that I am the reason for that smile. Also I worked in the kindergarten for 1 year taking care of babies and children under 5. Everyday I used to do recreational activities and worked with their motor coordination. In my routine I cooked their meals, giving them baths, changing diapers and prepared baby bottle (for the babies), put them to sleep and many things that co-related to them.
I wanna be an Au Pair because I have always dreamed of getting to know the USA, to learn a new culture and improve my English. It’s amazing to know that I can live my dream doing that I love the most: taking care of children!
I live with my mother, my step father and my younger brother who I took care since He was born. We love going to the zoo, the mall and cinema. We always eat together, it’s a tradition of our family. My mom is my best friend and she is the main motivator of my Au Pair dream. They are the best I could have, for sure.
Currently I study digital marketing and I have a digital marketing agency that works with company’s branding at the social networks. I like to travel, getting know new places, be in touch with nature, swimming, cooking, to spend time with my friends and my family, go to the movies, to watch TV serials and movies, to read books and to learn new things. Every Sunday I participate of the service and the worship group at my church. Ah, I really love to sing. The music is part of me.
I would describe myself as a happy, creative, responsible and loving person. I love to make new friends and to know people. My friends says that I am very funny too. The fact is that the true happiness live in me and the people around me can see this.
Last, but not least, I am very excited to live my Au Pair program because I know I will do my best to make this experience awesome for me and for you, my future host family.
