Dear host family,

My name is Anastasija, however my friends and family call me Ana. I am 20 years old and I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a small town in Pale, near capital city Sarajevo. I finished medical high school this year, where I gained valuable experience through practical training and working on pediatric wards. During my education I developed responsibility, patience and a genuine love for working with children.

For the past two years I have regulary worked with children in medical environments - assisting with care, helping with daily routines, supporting treatments, giving prescribed medications under supervision and learning how to be responsible when children are sick. I feel comfortable being with children of all ages. I am the eldest in my family, furthermore, I have the role of being the big sister.

I have experience caring for more than 10 children, including my cousins, nephews/nieces, and children of family friends. In these roles, I was responsible for a wide range of daily childcare activities such as feeding, preparing meals, bathing and dressing, changing diapers, and supporting naptime and sleep routines. I also accompanied children to and from school, extracurricular classes, and playdates. I enjoy engaging with children through creative and educational activities like reading books, organizing arts and crafts, sensory play, and both indoor and outdoor games, including pretend play. I always make an effort to build a trusting relationship with the children by having engaging conversations and helping them express their feelings. Additionally, I helped with light household tasks related to the children, such as laundry, tidying, and organizing their space.
I would describe myself as caring, reliable and trustworthy. I know how to stay organized, handle tough situations, and create a safe and supportive environment. I am very adaptable and independent person. I have lived in Germany and Montenegro, where I attended primary school. For the past three years, I have worked abroad in different countries. Due to these experiences, I easily adjust to new environments and cultures.

My English is at an advanced level. I would like to point out that I am a very active person and that I have a lot of hobbies, for instances, reading, painting, playing sports, and many others. Traveling has always been a big part of my life. And I love to travel everywhere, and experience as many things as possible. My father travels constantly for work and visits many countries, which inspired me from a young age to be open-minded and excited about experiencing life abroad.

I am looking for a host family for the period from August/September/October/Novembar 2026, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, and welcoming. I would love to be someone children can look up to, being their mentor in different aspects of life and like a big sister to them.
