Hello! My name is Bela, but most people call me Bela. I’m 27 years old and originally from Bogor, a small and culturally rich city in Indonesia. I am currently living in Villach, Austria, working as an Au Pair for a wonderful family with three children aged 2, 6, and 10. My daily tasks include preparing breakfast and lunch, dropping off and picking up the children from kindergarten and school, spending time with them in the afternoons, and occasionally staying with them until bedtime when the parents are working. The oldest child and I love doing arts and crafts together—especially crocheting, which is also one of my favorite hobbies.
My experience in childcare began long before I became an Au Pair. I helped take care of my nephew, Raees, from when he was 8 months old until he turned 5. I was responsible for bathing him, preparing his meals, and engaging in fun and educational activities like drawing and storytelling. I also worked as an English teacher for young children at a language course center in Indonesia. That experience strengthened my passion for early childhood education and helped me develop a creative and patient approach to working with kids.
I am currently pursuing an online degree in Management from Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia, while continuing my German language studies. I speak English fluently and have reached B1 level in German. I am also very open and enthusiastic about learning new languages such as Danish, Dutch, and French, Swedish, especially as a way to connect more deeply with new cultures and communities.
In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, jogging, swimming, reading books, and writing poetry. I also have a deep interest in contemporary theater and pedagogy, as I believe that art is a powerful way to understand and connect with people from different backgrounds. One of my biggest dreams is to build a free school for underprivileged children in Indonesia, and I believe that my experiences as an Au Pair in Europe will help me learn more about education, family life, and child development across cultures.
I am excited to continue my Au Pair journey in Europe and am available to start in February 2026.
