Dear host family
Hi! I’m Mila, I’m 18 and really excited about the idea of becoming an au pair in the UK. I’ve always loved being around children and helping out with family life, and I think this is an amazing chance to learn, grow, and experience a new culture. I have two younger siblings and babysitting experience, so I’m used to being around kids. It’s taught me to be patient, responsible, and have fun whilst keeping things running safely and smoothly.

I’ve just finished studying veterinary nursing, and now that my course has come to an end I’m looking for a bit of change, adventure, and something new!

I’d describe myself as friendly, caring, independent, and responsible. I enjoy spending time outdoors, film, music, being active, and trying new things. I’m also very pet friendly (having worked in a vet clinic) and love animals. I’m keen to help around the house and love keeping things tidy and organised.

I’m really looking forward to joining a welcoming family, supporting the children, and making some great memories together!

I have been babysitting since I was 12. I'm familiar and comfortable with caring for infants and kids due to my past experience. I handle stressful and urgent situations calmly and maturely.

Being the eldest daughter of my family, and one of the eldest cousins to more than twenty little kids, I have always taken on the guardian figure and been a responsible role-model to young children.

I am enthusiastic when it comes to caring for kids; whether that be assisting with daily routine and basic needs, helping with homework, cooking meals, and entertaining in general!

I have completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which was a two-year course I had studied after finishing high school early when I was 16. I have been working in customer service since I was 14, along with occasional babysitting, and screen acting work (film and tv). I also worked in a Vet Clinic for 2 years whilst completing my course, where I gained hands-on medical experience, including assisting with treatments, caring for sick animals, completing first aid, and learning how to stay calm and organised in busy, stressful situations.

I'm a super creative and positive person. I find I can make the best of any situation, and love learning new things. My friends and family say that I have always been very mature for my age, and that I’m easygoing, cheerful, and someone who can always make others feel comfortable and welcome. I am also very adaptable, I get along with most people easily and will fit myself into most environments-- I like to challenge myself!

With my host family, I hope for a warm, open, and supportive relationship where we can communicate honestly, share experiences, and enjoy our time together. I’m excited to help with the children, contribute to household tasks, and create positive memories whilst making everyday life a little easier for you!
