My name is Wendy Vanessa Alvis Nivia, but you can call me “Wen”! I’m from Bogota, Colombia, a wonderful country, full of things to do for vacation, kind people, abundant in beautiful fauna, flora, and fantastic gastronomy.
I’m 27 years old. I was born and grew up in the same city with my siblings and my parents. They like a lot of children and animals. Aside from that, they are hard-working and humble people.
Currently, I’m living with my host family in Teaneck, NJ, where I take care of my host parents’ three treasures (Kalman-3, Shayna-7 and Binyamin-9) a family who have taught me a bunch of things related with good ways of teaching children and comprehending them in challenging and cute moments including the way you can have a quality family time, what led me to appreciate even more family time. Also, I’m qualified to drive in New Jersey! Having a driver’s license, I will need to change my address if I leave New Jersey.
I love laughing and making others laugh, appreciating the importance of taking advantage of moments and memories; however, I look for ways to improve different aspects of my life, wanting to grow intellectually, spiritually and emotionally each day, I can always hear suggestions to improve.
I’m a person with strong convictions, so I do my best to follow them, being resilient, acting based on honesty, loyalty, respect, and other essential values for a good coexistence and relationships with the people around me for God's honor, doing my best to give good testimony and example for children. I enjoy talking with my family, and hanging out with the great friends I have met in United States. I attend to a christian church ~every sunday~ either here in New Jersey or in my country.

Among my responsibilities as a kindergarten assistant and with my current host family, I have overseen the following:
I take the children to the bathroom, Feed them, and monitor playing indoors and outdoors, including arts & crafts, potty training, and bathing. I changed diapers, helped dress, and took the children to and picked them up from school. I monitored naps, read books, visited the park, interacted during mealtime to encourage eating, and did the children's laundry.
~I'm experienced and qualified and would love to land where the host family is looking to bond, where I can drive if needed, and have walkable places near transportation~
I'm looking for a different experience for my 2nd year as an Au pair, and I hope the family will welcome me in their home too, I’ll do my best to make things work, that’s why communication is the most important to me.
I'm happy to have the opportunity of looking after of children, while I improve my English knowledge, since children have countless things to teach you every day and they are learning from you each second, I’m taking care of 3 adorable children who make me feel in love of their personalities and acts.
