Hi future host family,
My name is Leah, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Summit, New Jersey. I recently graduated from Hobart & William Smith Colleges, and I’m excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and experience life with a new family.
I nannied for a family with two kids (ages 4–9) for two years, where I helped with daily routines, planned activities, and built a really strong connection with them. I also worked as a camp counselor for kids ages 11–14, which taught me how to manage groups, maintain an inclusive environment, and keep things fun while still structured. I’m also CPR and first aid certified.
What matters most to me is how kids spend their time. I value creativity, being outside, and staying active, and I’m drawn to families who feel the same way about limiting screen time. I love coming up with activities—whether it’s crafts, games, outdoor adventures, or just making everyday routines more fun and engaging.
I would describe myself as creative, empathetic, energetic, and enthusiastic. I’m also dependable and respectful of family routines and values. I understand that being an au pair means becoming part of your home, and I take that responsibility seriously.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and experiencing live music, and I’d love to share those interests with your children while also learning about your values and daily life.
I’m looking for a family that values communication, enjoys being active, and wants someone who feels like part of the family. I would love to be a positive, supportive presence in your children’s lives.
