Dear host family
My name is Natalia Sandoval, I am 20 years old and I am from Bogotá, I am currently an au pair in Colorado and I am in rematch, I am in a friendly rematch since my host family needs an au pair with experience in children with special needs.
With my host family we like to have fun playing different board games or going out to the park to walk or ride a bike, also going to museums and doing activities outside the home. I have a very good relationship with my current host family. It was an unforgettable experience.
With my family when I was in Colombia we enjoyed traveling to towns near the city and sharing time together, my family is very excited about my decision to be an au pair, since this is a great opportunity to learn about a new culture, travel and improve my English level.
What can I tell you about myself? I am a patient, kind, responsible, empathetic, committed girl. I like to spend quality time with my family and friends, I have a lot of fun with them and I like to live new experiences and adventures. I love discovering new places, I love traveling, it's a good way to meet new people and make friends.
I decided to be an au pair because I am excited to discover a new culture and a different lifestyle. This opportunity will allow me to get to know new places and people. I can also improve my skills every day. For me this experience is unique. You will be able to live a different adventure every day. , and also improve my level of English, which will help me achieve my goals and future projects. I also chose this modality because I will be able to share with the children and this is something that I really enjoy, I love their witticisms, their tenderness, their way of having fun and being creative with the simplest things.
Regarding language skills, from a very young age I had basic knowledge of English from my parents who taught me basic things about the language. As I grew up, I reinforced my knowledge at school. In the same way, I learned independently from home and also took an English course with Journey where I was able to reinforce my knowledge and learn many new things.
Let me tell you a little more about myself, in my free time I like to dance and sing and above all I like to listen to music of all kinds, I like to read, I enjoy reading literature, it is one of my favorite hobbies, I also enjoy writing, I write poetry and some texts. In addition to this, I usually do sports both at home and outdoors, and I also love going for walks and getting some fresh air.
Regarding my experience with children, I helped my mother with the care of my younger sister since she was born, it was an enriching experience, I woke up my sister in the morning, gave her breakfast, bathed her, dressed her and took her to her home. daycare, when she came out I picked her up, played with her a little, gave her dinner and got her ready to put her to bed.
She is currently ten years old, it was great to help her develop her skills, we played and had fun, I entertained her with toys or games that I invented to do with her. I love spending time with my sister and watching her grow little by little to be more independent.
On the other hand, in my last year of high school I took care of children at a daycare to do my social work hours. It was a great experience, I had to help them with their homework, play with them and give them their snack, I had a lot of fun with them, they always had something interesting to tell me, at recess we played in a small park. that we had at school, and we also played hide and seek.
From this I was able to learn a lot, and even when I finished my social service I visited the children from time to time and they all received me with great affection. It was unforgettable.
