Dear host family:
My name is Orianna León, but my family and friends call me Ori. I'm 25 years old and I am from the capital of Venezuela, Caracas.
I have a very big, close and loving family. I am an only child and I live alone with my mother but my relationship with my father is excellent. In my free time I like to read, listen to music, watch documentaries and walk outdoors. I consider myself a patient, proactive, creative, positive person and a lover of children and pets.
I studied Psychology for 3 years and then I decided to move to Lima- Peru for 2 years and 6 months, where I had the opportunity to accomplish one of my biggest dreams, study to be a Cabin Crew.
When I graduated from high school I did my social work in a children's hospital, where I played with them and we did educational activities. It was an experience that changed my life and taught me a lot of things. Also to help my parents pay for my degree when I studied Psychology, I babysat in my free time. I had to pick the children up at school, help them with their homework, prepare their meals, help them with cleaning and personal hygiene, take them to their extracurricular classes, and help them with their English classes. They were children between the ages of 1 and 7. Since I was very young I love to be surrounded by children and always care for my youngest cousins, I have an amazing and beautiful relationship with them even now that they are 18 years old.
I'm really interested in seeing the world and knowing other cultures, for that reason I would love to extend my second year with a new host family and be able to have new experiences.
In my first year as an Au Pair I’m being living in Dumfries, Virginia and I take care of tow girls of 7 and 8 years old and a teenager of 16 years old. I help them with homework, preparing meals, laundry, cleaning their room and bathroom, make sure they take showers appropriately, take them to the bus stop and playing with them indoors and outdoors.
I think I am a good option to be your Au pair because based on my experience with childcare, how much I like to share with them and learn from them and because of the familiar person that I am, thanks to the environment in which I grew up and my ability to adapt to living in another country I know that it will be a wonderful experience for everyone.
