Dear Host Family

I am Annerie (20), a polite, adventurous Christian girl who was born in Pretoria and raised in Naboomspruit, Limpopo. I have a great bond with my family but I am also really independent. I have two brothers, I look up to my parents for the way they raised us. We are respectable, well mannered and goofy at times (we can let loose and not take life too seriously)
I am a stable and caring person also easily adaptive to a new country, culture, people and environment. I am easy going, honest and loyal. I loved spending time with my host family in the Netherlands, we had many meals together, trips, a movie night and I spent a lot of time with each child. I feel like that is really important to get to know them individually. I don't go partying but I still do things to have fun and enjoy myself.
I am the perfect candidate as your next au pair since I have taken care of many lovely children who each taught me valuable lessons. I have worked at a Daycare and Aftercare center where I helped children with homework, school projects and studying. I was a local au pair to four children. We played outside most of the time, building sand castles, with limited screen time to ensure they do activities to develop their personal growth.
In November 2023 I started my au pair journey in the Netherlands. I had a lovely host family with both my host mom and host dad as doctors, we had a very flexible schedule. I looked after 3 kids. I cooked for the children, changed diapers, bathed them, put the children to bed, taught the baby some words since he started talking in my time there and I played inside and outside with them. The children had a lot of friends over since we were situated in a neighborhood with a lot of children their age so many play dates took place. It was still manageable for me to make sure each child is cared for while having a fun time. I am very helpful and trustworthy, my passion is taking care of children.
I really enjoyed my experience there and got to make so many of my dreams come true. I went to Paris with my host family where we saw the Notre Dame and climbed the Eiffel tower, other than that I went to see the Louvre museum, Arc de Triomphe and walked along the Seine on my own. Me and some friends went to Italy where we enjoyed pizza, pasta and gelato and I also took a one day trip with a friend to Belgium where we visited Christmas markets and had the famous Belgian waffles.
I would love to learn more about the American culture, go to a football game, experience 4th of July, meet new people, travel and make some new friends.
