My name is Marvelin, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m a licensed professional teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in English. I would describe myself as a kind, patient, responsible, and easygoing person who genuinely loves being around children. I enjoy getting to know kids, playing with them, helping them learn, and being someone they can feel comfortable and safe with.

My love for caring for children started when I was in high school, when I took care of my two young cousins, who were 2 and 3 years old, for about a year while their parents were busy working. I truly enjoyed taking care of them, playing with them, helping with their daily routines, and simply being there for them. I also gained experience working with different kinds of students during my teaching internship, which taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and adapting to each child’s personality and needs.

Aside from my childcare experience, I have also worked in customer service for about two years. This experience has helped me become more patient, responsible, understanding, and calm when dealing with different people and situations. I believe these qualities will also help me become a dependable au pair and a positive influence on your children.

In my free time, I enjoy watching K-dramas and movies, riding my bicycle, playing volleyball, spending time with my friends and cousins, and joining youth activities. I’m also someone who enjoys socializing and meeting new people. I’m open-minded and believe I can adapt well to a new environment and culture.

I am interested in becoming an au pair because I want to experience living with a family from another culture while doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for and spending time with children. More than just being an au pair, I hope to become a trusted and loving part of your family. I would love to share my Filipino culture and traditions with you while also learning about your family, lifestyle, and culture.
