Introduction

Dear Host Family,

Hello! My name is Judie Lynn, and I am from the Philippines. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I am a friendly, responsible, patient, and adaptable person who enjoys meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and spending time in a warm and welcoming environment.

I am interested in becoming an au pair because I would love to experience life in another country while becoming part of a host family. For me, being an au pair is not only about traveling. I want to build a genuine connection with my host family, learn about their culture and way of life, and also share my Filipino culture, traditions, and experiences with them.

During college, I completed 1,402 hours of hotel internship experience in Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Human Resources at a 4-star hotel. My experience taught me to be responsible, organized, patient, respectful, and attentive to other people's needs. I learned how to work with different personalities, follow instructions, manage my time, and remain calm during busy situations. I am also used to helping with daily tasks and keeping things clean and organized.

One experience I am especially proud of was when I was asked to help host an outreach program for children and teenagers. I initially felt nervous because I did not have much experience with hosting, but I accepted the challenge. I prepared games, activities, prizes, and simple spiels for the children. It was a meaningful experience that helped me become more confident and taught me how important patience, communication, and a positive attitude are when interacting with children.

I am willing to help with age-appropriate childcare, preparing simple meals, organizing children's belongings and play areas, assisting with homework or activities, and helping with light household tasks. I am also open to learning new routines and following the rules and parenting style of my host family.

I would describe myself as a fast learner. I may not know everything at first, but I am always willing to listen, learn, and improve. I believe that good communication is very important when living with another family, so I will always try my best to communicate respectfully and openly.

As a Filipino, I would be happy to introduce your family to Filipino food, traditions, celebrations, and some words or phrases in my language. In return, I am excited to learn about your country's culture, food, traditions, and everyday life.

I hope to find a host family that values kindness, respect, communication, and understanding. I would love to become someone your children can feel comfortable with and someone your family can trust. I also hope to create happy and meaningful memories together during my time as an au pair.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I would be very happy to get to know your family, learn about your daily life and expectations, and hopefully become a positive part of your home.

Warm regards,
Judie Lynn
