My name is Jealyn, and I am a fresh graduate from the Philippines. I am currently looking for an opportunity to become an au pair abroad and to experience living with and learning from a new family and culture.
I want to be honest from the beginning: I do not have formal experience as an au pair, and I have never worked professionally as a childcare provider before. However, I am genuinely interested in childcare, willing to learn, and ready to take responsibility for the children and tasks entrusted to me. I believe that being new to this does not mean I am not capable of learning and becoming someone your family can trust.
As a Filipino, I grew up valuing respect, kindness, family, patience, and being helpful at home. Family is very important in Filipino culture, and we are often taught to look after younger family members, respect elders, help with household responsibilities, and treat people warmly. I hope to bring these values into my relationship with your family.
I am a patient, responsible, respectful, and caring person. I may be new to the au pair experience, but I am open-minded and willing to listen, follow your family's routines, and learn the way you prefer things to be done. I understand that every child is different, so I am willing to learn their personality, interests, routines, and needs.
I would also love to share a little bit of Filipino culture with your children—simple Filipino words, traditions, food, stories, and the warmth that Filipino families are known for. At the same time, I am excited to learn about your culture, traditions, language, and way of life.
I am not looking for an au pair experience simply as a way to travel abroad. I would genuinely like to become part of a family, build a good relationship with the children, help with everyday routines, and create meaningful memories together. I know that living with another family is a big responsibility, and I am prepared to communicate openly, respect your rules and privacy, and do my best to earn your trust.
