Dear Future Host Family,
Hi! I’m Fervian, 25 years old, and from the Philippines. I graduated last year with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, and now I’m ready for a new adventure and hoping to find my first host family.
I’ve always enjoyed being around children. Growing up, I always wished I had a younger sibling to take care of, but I never had one. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why I naturally became caring and affectionate toward my niece and younger cousins. I enjoy spending time with them, playing with them, taking them for walks, keeping them company, and making sure they’re safe and having a good time.
Although this would be my first experience as an au pair, I already have experience looking after children in my family. I know that every child has a different personality and needs, so I’m willing to learn, be patient, and understand them. I would love to become someone your children can feel safe, comfortable, and happy around.
Aside from childcare, I’m also happy to help with things around the house. I’m comfortable with cleaning and tidying, doing laundry and dishes, preparing simple meals, helping with cooking, grocery shopping, and keeping the house organized. I also don’t mind helping tidy up the children’s toys and keeping their spaces neat. I see these things as part of being a helpful member of the family.
I’m hoping to find a kind and welcoming family where I can feel comfortable and truly become part of the family. I’d love to help with the children and around the house, but I also hope we can spend time together, talk, share meals, and get to know each other as a family.
One of the things I’m most excited about is experiencing everyday life in another country. I want to learn about a new culture, try different foods, learn the language, and become more independent. At the same time, I’d be happy to share my Filipino culture, food, and traditions with you too.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, especially trying recipes and food trends I see on TikTok. I also like making TikTok videos, listening to music, watching movies and shows, exploring new places, going to amusement parks, trying new food, and spending time with my friends and family. I’d also love to experience these kinds of activities with my host family when possible.
Most of all, I hope to build a genuine relationship with my host family and make good memories together. I’d love to be someone your children can see not only as their au pair, but also as an older sister they can trust, play with, and feel comfortable around.
I know becoming an au pair is a big step and something completely new for me, but I’m excited to learn, grow, and make the most of the experience. If you think we could be a good match, I’d love to hear from you and get to know you and your family better!
