Introduction
Hello! My name is Pia Glory, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m very excited about the possibility of becoming an Au Pair and hopefully finding a family where I can feel welcomed, trusted, and genuinely become part of the family.
I would describe myself as caring, patient, responsible, easygoing, and open-minded. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, watching movies and series, exploring new places, trying different food, taking photos, and learning about different cultures. I’m also someone who enjoys simple moments and believes that you don’t always need something big or expensive to have a good time.
One of the main reasons I want to become an Au Pair is because I genuinely enjoy being around children. I have two nephews, ages 4 and 9, and I sometimes joke that I feel like I helped raise them because they have always been very clingy to me! I have spent a lot of time with them, playing with them, keeping them company, helping with their everyday activities, and simply being there for them. Through them, I have learned that every child has a different personality and needs, and that being patient, attentive, and understanding is very important.
Although I have not worked as a professional Au Pair before, my experience with my nephews has made me comfortable around children. I enjoy listening to their stories, answering their endless questions, playing games, reading, doing simple creative activities, and encouraging them to explore and learn. I understand that children need both guidance and patience, and I would always do my best to make them feel safe, respected, and cared for.
I also have experience in administrative and business-related work, which has helped me become organized, responsible, and good at following routines and instructions. I am used to managing responsibilities, paying attention to details, communicating with different people, and being dependable. I believe these qualities are also important when becoming part of a host family's daily life.
I want to become an Au Pair abroad because I see this as much more than an opportunity to travel. I want to experience another culture from a local family's perspective, learn about their traditions and way of life, and build meaningful relationships. At the same time, I would love to share my Filipino culture, traditions, food, and stories with my host family. I’m excited about the idea of learning from each other and creating a genuine cultural exchange.
As an Au Pair, I would be happy to help with the children's daily routines, prepare simple activities, play with them, help keep their things organized, and assist with age-appropriate household tasks related to the children. I would also respect your family's rules, routines, parenting style, and privacy. I understand that every family is different, so I am willing to communicate openly and learn how things are done in your home.
I would especially love to find a host family that sees their Au Pair as more than just someone who takes care of the children. I would be very happy to join family outings, meals, activities, and trips when appropriate. At the same time, I understand the importance of having personal space and respecting each other's boundaries. I believe good communication, trust, and mutual respect are the foundation of a great Au Pair experience.
I hope to become someone your children can feel comfortable with—a person they can play with, talk to, learn from, and have fun with. I also hope to build a warm relationship with you as parents and become someone you can rely on.
I know moving to another country and living with a new family is a big step, and I’m excited about the opportunity to grow from it. I want to become more independent, confident, and culturally aware while gaining experiences that I can carry with me into the future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message and learn a little about me. I would love the opportunity to learn more about your family, your children, your daily routine, and the things you enjoy doing together.
I hope we can get to know each other soon and see if we could be a good match. I would be very happy to become part of your family and create wonderful memories together!
Warm regards,
Pia Glory
