Our home offers an unusually private arrangement for a live-in nanny. You would have your own private entrance, bedroom, bathroom, and living room, so you can have your own space and independence outside of working hours.

We are a family in Bayville, Long Island looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced live-in au pair/nanny to join our family and help care for our young child.

The most important part of the position is providing safe, attentive, and engaging childcare. Responsibilities will include helping with the daily routine, preparing meals and snacks for our child, playtime, reading and age-appropriate activities, outdoor time, naps, bathing when needed, and transportation to activities or appointments as needed.

We are looking for someone who is organized, responsible, communicates well, and is comfortable taking initiative while caring for a young child. A safe and confident driver is very important to us.

Household responsibilities are limited primarily to child-related tasks such as keeping toys and play areas organized, cleaning up after meals, and helping with the child's laundry and belongings. We have a cleaning person who handles general household cleaning.

We offer a very private live-in arrangement. You will have your own private entrance, private bedroom, private bathroom, and private living room, giving you plenty of personal space and independence when you are not working.

I generally work outside the home during the week. My wife works in New York City Monday through Wednesday and works from home Thursday and Friday.

We do not have any pets.

Compensation will be discussed based on experience, qualifications, schedule, and the overall arrangement. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and hope to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of our family.
