Dear Aupairs, Thank you for taking the time to read our profile! We are looking for our new Aupairs to become part of our family. We are 4 girls from the age of 3 to 5 living with our mummy and daddy in Munich, Germany. We have two Aupairs so we can go to afternoon activities and get quieter one on one time in the afternoon to learn more things. We just love more than anything to dance, be silly and have lots of hugs and kisses, even if, like any young little girls, we can get tired and moody as well. Oh, we forgot to tell you that there is something quite unique about our family; we are all trilingual (actually daddy speaks more than 3 languages). This means you can speak (and even learn!!!) with us English, Spanish or German.

We are an active and friendly Spanish / Australian family living in the city of Munich. Daddy (36 – Spanish), works in the office in Munich but occasionally travels internationally for work during the week. Mummy (35 – Australian), also works in the office in Munich and she also travels occasionally in Germany. We have four amazing daughters: The oldest is 5 years old and the triplets will be 3 in July. As we live away from our families, our home and the people that are part of our day-to-day lives in Germany are very important to us.

We live in a great area of south Munich that is well connected with public transport (30 mins to central Munich) and have close friends nearby that have Au-pairs as well. As a family we love to get the most out of life, hence why we have lived in lots of countries (UK, India and Germany with our little family). During spring and summer, we love to make the most of our beautiful garden, which the girls LOVE!!! We also take advantage of our location in Munich and regularly explore the many Bavarian lakes and mountains, or go for day trips. Austria, Italy and Switzerland are just a short drive away!!! We love to travel and will visit our family in Australia again this year.

All of the girls are in kindergarten each day until 15.30, though on Monday one of them goes to an English school until 14.00. The girls love to be creative and to do crafty/handy things, dancing and singing as well as dressing up as little princesses. They also do afternoon play dates and activities (swimming, gymnastics, girl guides, tennis and music).

Even though we are working, we love to spend as much time as possible with the girls doing fun activities and just making sure we spend quality time together each day in the morning and in the evening.

We are looking for two Aupairs, as we are realistic about the work involved with four children and it has worked well during our first Au pair experience. With 4 children and two working parents we sometimes have busy days, but we would like to establish a relationship, as we have in the past, that allows everyone to enjoy their lives.

We want to be very clear and honest about our expectations, the role and the person/people we would like with the hope that we will be shown the same honesty in return. If you have any questions..ease ask.

We would like to have mature people with strong family values and with a good sense of humour, brilliant imagination and are genuinely interested in our family and our daughters. It is very important for us that you are a warm-hearted, loving person who is highly engaged with kids, actively plays with them and truly enjoys interacting with them.

Ideally, we would like to have a close relationship with you, like a friend or a big daughter. We would like to share our experiences with you and learn something about you and your life/family home.

We mainly need help in the afternoon and early evenings with collecting the girls from kindergarten (they all go to the same one and you will have the use of the car to collect them) taking them to their various activities or play dates or just doing activities with them at home or at the park until we come home from worke nature of our jobs, the fact that we have 4 girls that sometimes get sick, you would need to be flexible and adaptable and able to fit in with our busy lives. This might mean working some early mornings, some late evenings or having even to stay home for the whole day if the girls are sick. Obviously this does not happen every day, but it can happen. We may also ask you to babysit on a Friday or Saturday evening.

We do have a cleaning lady once a week, but we would expect a helpful attitude and for you to treat it as your home. Our previous Aupairs enjoyed cooking so if one cooked on Monday the other would tidy the girl’s rooms or do some ironing etc and vice versa for the other days.

Summary

Working hours are the standard 30 hours per week (4 to 5 days during the week), including the occasional Friday or Saturday night. Weekends would generally be free and also evenings during the week, so you should have more than enough free time to explore Munich and surroundings and learn German or another language. There are a number of options for language schools either nearby or about half an hour away on public transport. We hope that you will make friends here and take advantage of the location to explore and get out and about when you are not working. You would have your own room in a separate part of the house and would share a bathroom with the girls.
