Job Description
This job is looking after a lovely 84 year old woman in her own home . She was very organised and independent but her memory is beginning to fail so she needs someone to live with her to help her remain independent. The job includes: helping her with trips to the shops and to neighbours, conversation and companionship, chatting about her life and family, accompanying her to Doctor's appointments, sorting mail and posting mail, playing games, puzzles i.e. cards and crosswords, helping with clothing selection and personal grooming, answering the and taking messages, organising and planning daily activities arranging and reminding of any appointments, preparing simple meals, washing, ironing laundry, vacuuming, dusting, washing up and mopping of floors, care of one cat, organising shopping, keeping kitchen clean and tidy, ensuring medicine is taken at correct time, and keeping a daily diary to record diet, activities, general well being and mood. It would involve five mornings a week so there is plenty of time to attend language lessons. Payment would be negotiable depending on experience. Au Pair has a large sunny bed/sitting room with basin, telly arm chair kettle and computer. A valid driving license and experience of driving in UK would be an advantage.. Otherwise trips can be made to local towns and cities such as Bournemouth and Dorchester by bus/train.
