| We are looking for a trustworthy caregiver that loves children, is firm and fair, believes in time outs, is respectful and understanding. We would like a friend and playmate for our two boys. And someone to help us with daily household chores.
This is a great position for a person who would like to visit Ontario for a year or more, and is motivated to get out on there own during their off time to see the sites... We are an active family, and travel throughout the province on almost a monthly basis.. Visiting friends and family from Niagara falls, to Windsor, and North up to Sudbury, and would welcome you along with us for the trip..
We need meals fixed for the children and light housework. Mostly cleaning up after the kids..
We REQUIRE someone with CPR and FIRST AID, and has a good knowledge of food allergies as both our children have Epi pens. One is allergic to sesame, the other milk. It is this reason we need to feel confident in your ability to handle a medical emergency if one of them should happen to eat one of these foods. We do our best to ensure these foods are not made available to them..
We are an easy going family, loves the outdoors.. Our kids are dirty every day, and laundry is always needing done. Both boys like to play in the dirt, our youngest still thinks its tasty... We are trying to stop that..
Both our boys are busy, active, and energetic. We do our best to be well disciplined and fair. We try to maintain healthy lifestyle choices. We like outdoor activities, hiking, cycling, boating, camping, and skiing, and would like to include our nanny in these activities.
If you are an energetic, outgoing person, interested in helping us raise our children, and be part of our family please contact us..
Thanks
Randy, Catherine, Nickolas and Andrew.
P.S. This is not a 9 to 5 mon to fri position. We are shift workers and need someone when our shifts overlap. That means some months we only need 100 hours, and some 200 hours. From Jan to the end of sept, we need an average of 35 hours per week. Some shifts are 48 hours in a row, while we both sleep between nights. Many of the hours you work, one of us will be home sleeping.
Our shifts would require you to work days or nights, weekends or weekdays and some holidays. You will always have a minimum of 2 days off in a row after your shift, sometimes up to 7 days off. Weeks we need you more than 44 hours, you will be compensated at 1.5 times the hours you work over 44. You will be required to work statutory holidays as we do, and you will be compensated for those days.
Our previous aupairs have had difficulty adjusting to life in the country. It is very hard to leave work when you are a live in caregiver and live where you work. On your time off you are still in our home and can not escape the noise and routine of our kids. They always get up around 6:30am no matter when you goto bed.
Your take home pay, after government deductions and room and board, will be around $450 CDN. every two weeks. Some of the deductions may be returned to you at the end of the year depending on your Tax situation.
I have tried to be as honest as I can be, I understand this is not an easy job, please make sure you understand our situation before expressing your interest in our family.
Thank You and good luck with your search. |
