| Dear Family,
I really don’t know how to start a letter that should say: ”I’m the right girl for your au pair”. I want to avoid the typical first sentence that says how old I am and where I’m from even though that’s information that you should get. So, I’m an 18-year-old girl from Finland, Northern Europe and looking forward to be your next au pair.
I’ve always loved travelling and getting known to other cultures why I'm looking foward to be able to live in other culture.
I’ve loved children all my life. My first dream profession was a pediatrician and after that I wanted to work in a kindergarten. Even though I don’t hope to have an occupation with children anymore, being an au pair has always been one of my biggest dreams.
It’s hard for me to praise myself but I try to tell you the truth. I think myself as a reliable person with who it is easy to get along with. I’ve heard those exact same words from my friends’ mouths. My employer has told me many times that I’m a huge help at work. I always try to do the best I can and all my co-workers have said that it’s easy to get along with me.
I’m taking one of the biggest steps in my life so far, traveling all by myself far away from my home. I know, it’s not going to be easy and I know how it feels to miss my family so much. And even though I’m a little scared, I think I’ve never been this excited at the same time. I’m making my dream come true. It’s not something I do every day. I really hope that You’re the right host family for me but if you don’t feel like it, I wish you the best luck finding the right au pair for your family.
For families from U.S.A: I'm a Cultural Care member so I'd need a family who's also part of that agency.
Thank you for taking your time and reading my application, I really appreciate it. |
