Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello! I am looking for an outgoing fun family with loving kids. I was previously a personal live out nanny for approximately two years and loved the job with all my heart. I am currently enrolled at a Virginia university as an accounting and business administration major. I consider myself a very active person. I enjoy interacting with children through sports, arts and crafts, and other miscellaneous child activities. I am very patient and do not become frustrated with children and try my best to teach values through positive reinforcement. I could probably parallel my personality to actress Cameron Diaz, I have quite a large since of humor and I love to talk and learn about different people. In my previous nanny position I became very close with the children’s parents and found myself conversing with them for hours after they had arrived home. Although I am very personable, I am also exceptionally organized, well mannered, and studious. I have a very high GPA, and I truly love to learn and teach. Although I am not fluent in the Spanish language presently, I am at the top of my Spanish 101 class, and I am preparing to minor in Spanish at my university, becoming part of a Spanish speaking family would be ideal, but not at all required. I would not mind doing light house work (even if it is not required I will willingly contribute to keeping things tidy). I absolutely love to cook; my favorite foods are primarily organic, although I do have a sweet tooth at times and am very open to cooking new foods. I also enjoy animals, and would not mind taking dogs on walks and or feed and grooming other pets. I am very open to aupair requirements and will learn new skills to better assist your family. I think of myself as a very responsible person and after meeting me I am sure you would be very comfortable leaving the wellbeing of your children to me while you are not present.
