| We are a lively family of two working parents looking for help with school runs, washing, ironing, cooking and cleaning etc. There will be some babysitting although we tend to go out as a family and would hope to include our au pair in our family and mostly all do things together. We eat out regularly and go to concerts etc. We are very much hoping to find someone to be part of our family and perhaps improve their English whilst helping us and our son with some foreign languages. We are especially interested in French, Portuguese, Oriental and Italian, although anything new is always interesting.
In addition there might be the opportunity to work part-time in a healthcare business as well as carrying out the au pair role. This could provide experience in customer care, finance, medical equipment, providing services to hospitals, children's hospitals, etc.
There is always great cooking and ingredients from all around the world in the house and the au pair would have a good room with own bathroom. The house has wireles n internet and our telepackage at the moment allows unlimited free calls to many countries for up to one hour at a time, so you would be able to call home frequently if that applied to your country.
We love music (I still do a bit of DJing occasionally), sport and the outdoors and have lots of instruments, sports/fitness equipment, computer games (Wii & PS3) and a pool table at home. We have a very comfortable spacious house and wages are likely to be around £65 per week, although this will literally be 'pocket money', you will have everything that you need to live provided. We would need the au pair to drive and we will provide a car for the right person as long as we can get insurance at a sensible price. We do not smoke indoors.
We are based just outside Earls Colne, Essex, a village with several pubs and some good restaurants (we have an excellent Indian restaurant within walking distance of the house!). We are near to Colchester (about 15 minutes drive, regular buses leave from right outside the house) and 45 minutes from London by train. If you like to go nightclubbing every week we are probably not for you - we go to bed early and get up early! |
