Au Pair/Nanny job description

Hello, I have one 12 year old,very bright and happy daughter. From now on we need to have a live out au pair. You would be responsible for after school care,helping with homework (if needed) cooking tea, also happy to help me with the housework , plus 2 evenings baby-sitting. NO early mornings, work wouldn't start till mid to late afternoon. Reliability and kindness are really important to us, ideally I would love to find someone who lives locally and would stay with us for years! I would like someone who is good at housekeeping/ironing and who is happy and willing to help me to keep things organized. I wish to find an Au pair who is happy to be registered on the government Nanny approval scheme. So you will need to have completed a basic childcare and first aid course, this job would be ideal for a newly qualified Childcarer who doesn't have much experience as our job is quite simple.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au pair/Nanny we are looking for a kind and happy person to be a friend to my 12 year old daughter when I am working. We are musicians, so there is a lot of music. My daughter is very active, she does Ballet and Gymnastics & is Grade 6 piano and Drum kit, she is also in a great choir. I would like someone with experience BUT if you are enthusiastic and keen,and this is your first step onto the Childcaring ladder this is a good job as we only have one daughter so ours is easier. I am very happy to welcome an older Lady that lives locally as we would love someone who would stay with us for a few years. We would love someone who adores cats and who will be happy looking after them as well, they are a big part of our little family. Our 2 year old tom cat Paulo is the soppiest cat you will ever meet, so friendly, he even comes for evening strolls with us just like a dog! I think he has an identity problem! Highgate is a fantastic area, 2 minutes walk from Highgate woods, 15 mins from Hampstead heath. 5 mins from Muswell hill with lots of shops and cafes. 20 mins by tube to Camden town with the fantastic market stalls selling everything you can imagine.
