Au Pair/Nanny job description

French is not required to start with us. kids have been practicing English with the aupairs for years now. Usual working time is monday tuesday thursday and friday 4h30 pm to 8h00 pm in the evening ( homework+dinner) . Wenesday is the whole day. this allows for lessons/university/.. 4 days a week without any problem. Saturday and Sunday are free. In addition to the above we expect the aupair mainly to help us keeping the house in order and doing some ironing. As far as cleaning the house is concerned, we have somebody else coming twice a week. We also ask some babysittings but this is also very theoritical, we rarely go out . We provide complete accomodation and independant housing (a room), 5 ' walk from our place and a car that is mainly used by the aupairs to get quicker to the train station( paris downtown 15') and this is the most efficient way to get to paris.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

hi, we have been having foreign au pairs and nannies for 10 years now and we have always enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to have a young person discovering France and the French culture. we definitely consider the au pair as part of the family, although they always had as much privacy as they were willing to have; this is easy due to the independant room and the car we provide. We usually take the au pair with us for vacation in France, (but this is not mandatory) so they have opportunity to discover Brittany, Creuse ( middle of France) and the Jura mountains closed to geneva. Our oldest son pays saxoand the youngest girl guitar. the three of them sing and practice horseriding although the most fanatic about horses is our second kid ( first girl). So au pair practicing music are even more welcomed. We ask our aupair to speek only English or Spanish with the kids while we speak French with her. Most of our au pairs go to Paris 4 days a week for French lessons, are back in la Celle saint cloud around 3h30 pm and pick up the girls at school . Based on past experiences, we ask the aupair to pay for the flight to France( two way ticket) and the French courses fees. We provide everything else.
