Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, my name is Dragana. I am 23 years old and I just graduated from University of Novi Sad, Department of English Language and Literature. My native language is Serbian (actually Serbo-Croatian) but I am a qualified professor of English and I also speak Spanish on the higher intermediate level, I even had two one-year courses of it at my University. I love to travel and meet new people and nations which is why I spent two summers on a Work & Travel Programme in the US and one of the reasons I now want to work as an Au Pair. I chose Spain as the country I want to go to because, for me, it is the most interesting European country but also because I think the best way to improve one's knowledge of a foreign langueage is being in direct contact with it. I would like to work as an Au Pair because I like children and spending time with them and because I think that the best way to learn about the life in a foreign country is through seeing a life of a family. I am an outgoing person, very flexible and reliable and at the same time independant. I love sports and music but also reading and other quiet activities. I don't have a lot of experience in childcare but I have babysitted occasionaly for family friends and neighbours and they are all comfortable with leaving their children with me.
