Nanny's Message to Families

I am an elementary school teacher looking for after school, weekend, and/or summer positions working with children. My husband, of four years live in Bolingbrook, IL. I have a variety of experiences including daycare (four years), teachers assistant (kindergarten--one year), and elementary school teacher (I am in my sixth year having taught fifth grade, third grade, first grade and student teaching in second and fourth grades.) I have also nannied for three summers. During the summer of 2004 I nannied for a 11 year old girl while supervising her older siblings 15 & 16. Duties included lunch preparation, driving to and from sports, doctor's appointments, daily activites with the 11 year old, and supervision in and around the pool. During the summer of 2005 I worked with a family and their newborn twins. Duties included light housekeeping and cooking as well as feeding, bathing, and playing with the children while adhering to their schedule. This past summer I spent my time with three wonderful kiddos, ages 8, 5, 3. Duties included breakfast and lunch preparation, planning daily activities/outings, supervising children while in their pool and while playing with their friends, providing transportation to baseball practice, keeping the house picked up from the daily playing and dishes, and just being like a "big" sister to the kids.
