Au Pair's Message to Families

My childcare style: I believe that children should be active - so tv watching is for children when they are sick or having a quiet time. I encourage reading, playing games, being outside, and teaching children to be creative, trying to find ways to develop their creativity. How I would describe myself: I have been working with children for the past 8 years, have had a paid part-time nanny position, and volunteer with elementary age children - tutoring and mentoring. I am a young married woman seeking a job I care about, doing something that I love. Although I do not want to have children of my own for another few years, I do love being around children, and see being a nanny as a growing experience for both parties. Nannies have such an opportunity to instill creativity and an active lifestyle, and I believe that children can teach adults about simplicity in life (I know that sounds corny, but it's true!) Please
