Nanny's Message to Families

Hi family, My name is Petra and I'm a 26 years old Swede. I'm a very happy and friendly person. I connect easy with both children and adults. I also love animals a lot. I'm interested in being your nanny for a while. I'm a teacher and there are not many jobs here at the moment. I believe that working as a nanny is the next best thing after working in a school for me. Being a teacher and a nanny are things that I'm really good at. I love children and I always wants what is best for them. I would love to work with an English speaking family because that's the language that I know the best except for Swedish wich is my first language. I'm fluent in English. I also know a tiny bit french and german but not enough to get by on it. It doesn't really matter what country I'm working in as long as I can speak either English or Swedish with the family. I have worked with kids in different situations for as long as I can remember. I started working in the children groups in my old church when I was 13 and then I became a swimming teacher for a couple of years during high school. After I finished high school I worked as an au pair in the United States for a year. I graduated from University of Växjo in January 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in education and have been working at local elementary schools since then. I've also been working as an au pair in Ireland for some weeks last fall. The youngest child that I've worked with was 16 months and the oldest was 18 years so I've worked with all ages. Some of my interests are: music, travelling, shopping, reading, movies, playing games, crafts, spending time with friends and family. I don't have any visas right now but I'm willing to get the visa I need when I sign with a family. I'm part of the European Union so I can work anywhere in the EU whitout a visa.
