Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, My name is Cindy, a 25 years old college student, who’d like to have one academic year break and I improve in English language in the UK, because if I pass an advanced business English exam successfully, I can get an Oxford diploma also. I would like to spend 9-10 months with a lovely family, and study English at a language school. I could start in October - November (of 2009) and have to come back to Hungary at the end of August (of 2010). I’ve lived in England (Brighton) for 9 months 4-5 years ago, which is still missing, because I love UK and the English culture. For the first time I will work as an au-pair, but to carry out responsible work, done in the summer an au-pair course and worked 5 days long in a playhouse (where children were between 2-3 years), I really enjoyed. I’ve English-Hungarian language certificates about it, which I can show. My family has young children of different ages (cousins), so there is little experience in this. I’ve driving license with not a lot of practice. I’m fun, playful, flexible, reliable, hard-working and nice person. My hobbies: learning languages, travel/world view (for example I was in the US/Main, the UK, Poland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Austria, Germany, France, Slovakia etc. with my family or school), get to know different cultures and habits, piano and singing (I studied these at music school many years long), reading, trip, going out with friends. I grew up in a very good and balanced family, have a younger brother, who is also a friend. I live alone for three years, household managers and take care of myself and my dog (I am a student, so my parents help me) and my parents will take care of my dog while I'm in England. What specifically I'd appreciate: a nice and happy family, if the language course is nearby, appropriate for me to live with single parent or couple, one-two-three children. I'm glad, if you have pets. I prefer to go to London or around London, but not required. I hope you liked my introduction letter and would be happy to see me in your home for a while. I promise to do everything that pleased to be with me, because the most important thing is that you can be satisfied with me and this year would be useful to me also.
