Au Pair/Nanny job description

This is a live in position for a responsible, English speaking nanny with an American family to care for one 10 year old boy, take him to school in the morning by bus, and pick him up after or take him to activites like soccer practice. After school help with his homework and play with him. On days when the child is out of school, the nanny will take care of him. Other duties include light housework including grocery shopping, meal preparation, doing the laundry, and errands like going to the dry cleaner or shoemaker. We have a regular cleaning lady who cleans the house. We live in the beautiful university town of Leiden, the Netherlands, which is readily accessible to public transportation, so no driving required. We prefer Dutch nannies with 3 or more years of childcare experience. We are looking for a loving, educated, pleasant, flexible nanny with good sense of humor.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Nanny, We are looking for an English speaking, Dutch, loving, educated, pleasant, flexible nanny with a good sense of humor to live in and take care of a 10 year old boy, who is in school a lot of the day. The nanny would take our son to school and pick him up thereafter, as well as take to any after school activities and help with his homework. If he is out of school the nanny would take care of him on those days as well. We are an American family in Leiden, the Netherlands, which is a wonderful university town. No driving is needed as the public transportation system is terrific. Light housekeeping is required, including laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, and errands like going to the dry cleaner or shoemaker. We have a regular cleaning lady doing heavy housework.
