Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello, I'm a 23 year old New Zealander who has just arrived in Europe after travelling in South America for five months. I am very enthusiastic about the idea of being an Au Pair in Spain. I have been interested in Spanish language and culture and it is one of my biggest goals to live and work in Spain. I completed my education in 2007. I did a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Studies and Spanish. After university I did another qualification called the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults, and I have had a year's work experience in this field. I really enjoy working in this area but I also love to work with children and would really value spending some time with a family. I have a lot of younger cousins back in New Zealand who I love to spend time with and one of regular jobs during high school and university was babysitting I have a lot of interests. I enjoy being active and do a wide variety of sports like snowboarding, surfing, tennis and running. One of my great passions is art. I love to draw and visit art galleries, and pretty much do anything creative! I also read a lot and occasionally do some writing. And of course I love to learn as much as possible about different countries, cultures, and language. I can promise my potential families that I would become valuable member and provide the best possible care and support for their children. I am a very easy going and relaxed person, but my background in teaching has meant that I am also very organised, and when things need to be done, they will be done.
