Hi my name is Sarah and I have just started studying secondary education so I would really love to be an Au Pair overseas either half way through my course or when I graduate. I really enjoy spending time with children as I value the importance of children simply being children, making lot's of great childhood memories and especially children's education, very highly. So I decided it would be a wonderful idea to travel AND spend time with a family overseas where I can look after children, be part of a family and learn about both the country's and family's culture.

A little bit more about myself in general?

I visited Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 6 weeks in 2007. So I've travelled before. I can speak German moderately but once I visit again I know I will be able to speak it very well once again. I would also love to visit the United Kingdom!

I love to read and write, sing and dance. I also love animals! I don't enjoy television but I like to watch movies. I don't like to harm my body in any way because it's the only body I have - so tattoos, piercings, drugs and alcohol are not important to me. I like to go outside and be active but I also enjoy sitting down and chatting to friends and family. I'm not religious but I love learning and exploring ANY religion because I believe faith is important for people's wellbeing and peace of mind.

I have been employed in retail (with a certificate II and III in retail) for five years (it was here I met a girl who introduced me to the idea of au pair and directed me to this site). I have completed high school with top marks in all subjects because I love education a lot!

I moved out of home for two years so it was a huge learning curve for me to discover the importance of looking after myself and being a responsible young adult. I love family and I believe it is the most important thing - to be surrounded by family and to cherish the good times with them.

And lastly, I decided to become a teacher because I love sharing knowledge and finding ways to teach and explain in ways that different people will understand. I love seeing children's eyes light up when they've learnt something new or something makes sense to them.

I take every opportunity that comes my way and every experience is vital in shaping who I am today. Thank you for reading all about me!
