Most parents of teenagers/young adults will tell you that they're always out, so encroaching on family time wasn't a problem. When she was in, she was such a pleasure to have around she really was the "Big Sister" we needed to help out with the family/childcare/home in general. We checked references and spoke to her at length before she arrived. We were so worried that it wouldn't work out, but our daughter decided for us and we agreed the au pair was staying. She adored her!

I had an unforgettable experience becoming a part of a new family, making so many friends, learning more about my culture, learning dutch, enjoying the most simplest things and most of all having so much fun with the children...

Aupair - Jessica, VA, United States Jul 23, 2007    When I first found this site, i was a little worried that i wouldn't be able to find a family. within 2 months i found a great family in North Carolina, and was with them for close to a year. i really miss those kids but it was a great experience and i still keep in contact with them. The current family i am with i also found on this site, they are a great family, i love the kids. and have such a blast with them. i am taking a break of 2.5 years as a nanny after the contract with the family is up. but when i decided to be a nanny again, i will use this site again to find a family.
