Au Pair's Message to Families

My name is Jaclyn and I am first year Canadian student at the University of Western Ontario. Western University is in London Ontario. I absolutly love it here but I would be so excited to be a nanny for my summer job this year. I am orginally from Windsor Ontario just outside of London. I am studying neuropsychology here in London. I am very interested in being a nanny somewhere outside my country. It would be a great oppertunity for me since I haven't been able to go to other countries yet. I am the oldest sister in my family, I have two younger siblings so I grew up helping my parents out with them. I have been babysat for a number of families in my area since I was 12 for many different age categories from one to seven years old. I did household chores for the families, picked up after children, made meals for children, and went on outings with the children. References are available for your peace of mind. In grade nine for my 40 hours of community service I vollunteered at the local child daycare and also helped out at the animal shelter so I am comfortable with taking after pets while being a nanny in your home. This past summer I babysat along the beach two young boys and I had a wonderful time there that is what made me want to be a nanny for the summer of 2009. I am so excited to try something new. I am the kind of person who will always try and fun. I like to laugh and play. I am a very active person I play basketball, soccer, volleyball and won a number of track and crosscountry awards. The summers I spend at the beach going swimming and hanging out with friends. I hope to have an amazing summer and a great experinece as a first time nanny in another country.
