Au Pair job description

We have 3 and 5 year old boys. Our five year old will be in school from 9-3:30pm and the three year old will be in school part-time. The au pair will need drive our children to various activities. Aside from child-care, we would like an au pair who is willing to do some light housekeeping when the children are in school or napping.

Oi tudo bem? We are a family of four who lives near Washington DC. In 2004 and 2006, we lived in Rio de Janeiro, where my husband was doing some work. We are all fluent in Portuguese and love Brazilian culture. I will speak English with you so that you can learn the language, but we would like for you to speak Portuguese with the kids to make sure they remain bilingual. I think you will find that we are a very loving family. We currently have an au pair who has been with us for 1.5 years, and she is part of our family. We go on trips together, eat meals together, and give her support in any way we can. She has her own room, bathroom and her room is on a separate floor so that she has privacy when she needs it. Our house is near a metro station and you can be in the center of Washington DC in 20 minutes. It is a wonderful place to live, with beautiful parks and so many different cultural activities.
