Sara is very sweet and quiet. She was to return on a Monday morning to start, but arrived late at 6pm instead. I spent a week teaching her about her responsibilities. By Friday, I was pretty sure I smelled cigarette smoke coming from her room, though her profile states she is a non-smoker, and I asked her again during her interview and she denied smoking. I confronted her, and she said that yes, she did smoke but was trying to quit, and that she had never smoked in our house. Well, we are still trying to get the smell out of our home. I gave her another chance. She left for the weekend and was to return Monday morning again. She came in at 6am on Tuesday, without calling to let us know when she would be back. She went straight to bed. At 4pm on WEDNESDAY I got her up-yes, 2 days later! She stated that she was homesick. I told her she should pack and leave to go home. Sara was good with our child, however she was late several times and was not honest with us. She was not dependable and left us to start all over again in the search for a nanny, which as all you families know, can be a very long and time-consuming process.
