| We met Kai through this website, and thought she was a wonderful addition to our family, as well as a wonderful nanny for our 6 month old son. We treated her like family, in the two weeks she was here with us. We gave her clothes, a suite of her own, even a very nice present for Christmas. We even ran all her errands for her since she does not drive. Truly like family. She told us she would be here on a certain date, to begin working for us full time as a live in Au Pair. We were overseas for about a month and a half, and she was only in contact with us when she needed our support. We advanced a payment to her family in the Philippines, because she asked us for financial help, and now we have not heard from her in over a week. She repeatedly told us she would be here upon our arrival. Her cellphone is off, and she hasn´t returned any messages or emails. We are hurt, and feel ripped off. Most of all, our son does not deserve this kind of treatment. I hope this type of person can be more easily filtered so this does not happen to another family. Again, we truly felt blessed to have Kai, and regret deeply having to post anything negative about anyone, yet we are just trying to do for another family what we would have liked done for us. |

We wanted to be fair to Kai, even after everything, and explain the most recent developments in case any other family wanted to give her a chance. She finally emailed and said she broke her back and wouldn´t be available until three weeks or so. She repeatedly said she was sorry, and that she was very happy here, and thanked us for being very kind to her. We asked her to just tell us the truth and offered her the possibility of perhaps coming back with our family. She has not responded to that email, and since we feel the truth is that she found something else, we have decided to give up on her. We wanted to expose the whole story, so the next family would have all the details necessary and make their own decisions. We wish Kai well, and hope she finds whatever it is she is looking for.
