She stayed with us for a couple of weeks on a trial basis and she stole a cell phone, a digital camera, and an expensive gift certificate (these are just the items we know she stole - the cell phone was an emergency phone for my kids). Meg made up bizarre stories about our kids behaviours, and blamed the kids for everything. We found candy wrappers stuff around the house from Halloween, and it turned out it was Meg. She blamed the kids. We have a safe in the house, and it was obvious that someone had tried to get into it. Hmmm. I wonder who? She was useless around the house, and spent most of the time sleeping or in her room. Comment   >> Posted: Nov 20 '08 by Brandi in British Columbia, Canada Now the story gets even more bizarre. During her stay, she told us that she had to fly back to Calgary, and was meeting her mom, and she needed stage 2 breats cancer surgery. We were very concerned and were very accomodating. She came back rather soon, and it was a bit strange. After we asked her to leave (when we found the stolen items), we still felt bad and spoke with her mom. Turns out the whole breast cancer story and meeting her mom was made up. What an awful thing to do. The police were notified and other stolen items were found in her posession. She has identitity theft charges against her in the US. I managed to find a Social Security card that was not in her name, and it was stolen from the 7 year old daughter, at her last job. THIS GIRL IS MAJOR CON. Shame on us for not doing proper searches before brining her in.
