Unless you want an au pair who will discipline and impose punishments on your children without even discussing it with you, challenge you with her awfully rude attitude and, better still, leave you stranded with a huge cell ´phone bill and drive your car to an unknown location and leave it OPEN with your house keys inside..... unless this is what you want, then don´t hire this girl. Jaimy has stayed with my family for four months (she is not in the US as she says in her profile, she is currently in Spain, having just left my house). The first three months were fine - if you don´t count her never saying "hello", "goodbye", "good morning", "good night" or "thank you" - or so I believed, but then we all know that a person is able to put up an act for exactly that, three months... Jaimy started showing her true colors after that time and has not stopped since. I will not go into great detail, as I don´t want to waste another minute on this girl, but I was appalled to know she let my 11-year old son sit in the front seat of the car (this is against the law in Spain) and was rude to the extreme to me, even though I even accommodated some friends of hers in my home when they came to see her to Spain and went out of my way, literally, to make her feel good. I was also told by a fellow mother that Jaimy left my daughter at her son´s birthday party discarding her like a piece of trash, not even notifying the hostess that my daughter was there. After all sorts of ugliness I asked her to leave my house, giving her a week´s notice. The original plan had been that she would stay the whole summer and house-sit as we travelled, but given her attitude I started feeling extremely uncomfortable about having her in my house, especially with me gone. In the end she left only two days after I asked her to, when I confronted her about the huge cell ´phone bill that had just arrived. She literally fled my house, taking my car and cell ´phone with her, without even leaving a note, while I was at work. Several hours after she had left she sent me an email giving vague directions as to where the car was. I finally found it - OPEN and with the keys inside, complete with a parking ticket. What an ordeal!!!
