| When I first met Megean, I thought I had found supernanny! She seemed to interact smoothly with my children and go above and beyond anything I asked her to do. Her personality fit well with my family and I was looking forward to getting to know her better. However, the second week, I left Megean in my house to go on vacation with my family. We decided to give her the week off to let her familiarize herself with the area and spend time with friends. I tried to contact her that week, but she always seemed to be hard to reach. She also someone managed to have our car impounded (we are still trying to figure out the details of this incident). We decided to move on and wanted to work things out with her.
When I returned from vacation, my housekeeper mentioned that Megean had been wearing my clothes around the house. I thought this was a bit odd and felt a little violated, but once again wanted to work things out. Megean left on a Sunday night and did not return that night or the next day. She refused to pick up the phone. I couldn't sleep Monday night because the thought of something terrible happening to her kept running through my head. She had said she was just going out with a friend for dinner, so I was really starting to worry. I kept trying to contact her and finally reached her Tuesday morning. She said she felt bad about the car and thought she would go away for a few days. Quite irresposible considering she didn't discuss this with us and my children and I were without a nanny Tuesday because she "felt bad."
When I finally got Megean on the phone, she lied (one of numerous lies) and told me she would discuss things with me as soon as I was home Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived at the house, I found not only she was gone, but so were all her things. Once again, I tried numerous times to contact her, but she would not answer her phone or return my calls. I am speechless as to why a young woman would have the audacity to enter my home, go as far as to wear my clothing, and then leave without explanation. |
