Complaint >> Posted: Nov 19 '05 by Juha in Etela-Suomen Laani, Finland |
| In general we have been very pleased of the service provided by you, but we decided to let you know about our very unfortunate luck with our au pair, Jocelyn Bristow from Bellingham, Washington,USA. We hope she will not seek for a new family to stay with. She turned out to be everything but great during her 3.5 months stay in our family. She clearly did not like children and did not have any emphathy towards them. She tried to show off while we were around, but when she thought we could not see her she was insulting the kids and instead of taking care of her duties she spent her time playing with the computer - she had over 50 friends that she was socializing with by e-mail or by skype and during the very last weeks of her stay with us by a mobile phone that we provided for her. Of course, the bill was much more than what we had agreed on to pay ! In addition, she had called our home / home village as "crazy town" in her text messages to her friends. First I thought it was just "the personal chemistry" that did not work between us and her, and therefore we tried to be as polite as possible to her and organized a new family for her to stay with. However, this family faced excactly the same problems with her as we did, and so I decided to speak out ! They bought her a return ticket back to USA in less than a month. |
