| Add Family Photo #1 |
GreatAupair wants to help you present yourself at your best. To that end, GreatAupair allows you to include two images of your family. The first image you add should be your best, close-up photograph, as we will use it to create a small "thumbnail" image that is quick to download.
Before you press the "Browse…" button to add your first photo, be sure your images are in one of the following two formats: JPEG, also seen as .jpg as a suffix at the end of the image file, or in GIF format, also seen as .gif as a suffix at the end of the image file. Once you've determined that your image has been saved as either a JPEG or GIF file, be sure you know where it’s stored on your PC or Macintosh so you know where it is when you go click the “Browse…” button.
Photos larger than 1 MB (megabyte) will not be accepted. Be sure your photo is less than 1 MB in size.
To add your photos to your profile, follow these simple steps:
1. Click on the “Browse…” button below the label: Add Photo 1
2. A dialog box will appear and allow you to locate your first image.
3. Find the first image you want to place in your profile, and then double-click on it or click the “open” button on the dialog box.
Note:
The dialog box will disappear and you won't see the image yet - that's okay, the photo will be transferred when you click the button “save photos & captions”.
Now follow the same three steps for Add Photo 2, just click on the “Browse…” button below the label: Add Photo 2, then follow the directions above. If you don't have a second image, don't worry about it. Just skip it.
Add a short description of photos where it says, “Enter a short description below. This is limited to 72 characters. Be sure to click the button “save photos & captions” to save your captions.
If you are unable to convert your images into JPEG, .jpg or .gif formats, GreatAupair can assist you by converting your images for you. Email your two images to photos@greataupair.com and we will convert and upload the images for you. Please include your name and locator number with any correspondence you send to GreatAupair.
If you do not have electronic images, GreatAupair can also scan your images for you. Please send us copies of your photographs by postal airmail to the address under Contact Us. Please be sure to include your name, locator number and your email address and we will scan and place your photos into your profile for you. Photos sent to GreatAupair for scanning will not be returned once scanning is complete, so be sure not to send the originals. |

To add your second image, be sure your image is in one of the following two formats: JPEG, also seen as .jpg as a suffix at the end of the image file, or in GIF format, also seen as .gif as a suffix at the end of the image file.
Once you've determined that your second image has been saved as either a JPEG or GIF file, locate it on your PC or Macintosh so you know where it is when you go to the click the “Browse…” button.
