I have gained experience through a combination of informal work, family responsibilities, and training, all of which have helped me develop important skills such as responsibility, patience, communication, and adaptability.
One of my main work experiences was in construction sites where I worked as a general labor assistant. My responsibilities included carrying construction materials, mixing cement, cleaning the work area, and supporting skilled workers in different tasks. This work required physical strength, discipline, and teamwork. It also taught me how to follow instructions carefully, work under pressure, and remain focused even in challenging conditions such as long hours and outdoor environments. Through this experience, I learned the importance of punctuality, responsibility, and working collaboratively with others to complete tasks efficientlyI also worked in a cyber café where I assisted customers with various services. My duties included printing documents, photocopying, scanning, and helping clients with basic computer operations. I also handled customer inquiries and ensured that they received the services they needed in a polite and efficient manner. This role improved my communication skills, customer service abilities, and confidence in working with different types of people. It also helped me become more familiar with computers and office-related tasks.
In addition to my work experience, I have significant childcare experience from my home life. As the firstborn in my family, I have taken on a responsible role in caring for my younger siblings for several years. After the passing of my father, I supported my mother in managing the household and taking care of my siblings. My responsibilities included supervising them, helping with daily routines such as preparing meals, bathing, and getting ready for school, assisting them with homework, and ensuring their safety while playing or studying. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to handle different situations involving children. I learned how to guide them, support their learning, and manage conflicts in a calm and understanding way. It also helped me develop strong emotional awareness and the ability to care for children with attention and consistency.
Regarding education and training, I completed a Certificate in Computer Packages, where I achieved a credit. This training included learning basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer literacy. I was able to apply these skills during my work in the cyber café, especially when assisting customers with typing, printing, and document preparation. This training improved my technical knowledge and made me more confident in using computers for both personal and professional tasks.Although I had to pause my Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering due to financial challenges, the time I spent in that program helped me develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and discipline in academic work. I plan to continue my studies in the future when I have the opportunity.
Overall, my combination of childcare experience, informal work, and computer training has helped me become a responsible, adaptable, and hardworking individual. I am now looking for an au pair opportunity where I can apply my childcare skills in a professional environment, learn about a new culture, and continue growing both personally and professionally. I am committed to being reliable, respectful, and supportive to any host family I work with, and I am ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities with dedication.
