Dear Host Family,
I am Emmanuel going 33 years old this comming Nov. 28 and I am currently working in Moscow City, Russian Federation as a caregiver/housekeeper.

Way back year 2002, I received the most precious gift of my life, my son Danuel and my basic childcare hands on expanded. I never thought that those experiences would push me to my profession right now. Last 2010 God gave me my little Princess Phebe Sofia and she turns 2 years old last October. There is a famous saying “Experience is our best teacher” and those experiences help me to be what I am right now.

Last March of 2005 to 2006 I got my first childcare job after I graduated 6 month Caregiver training course. I have 8 hours’ work from Monday to Friday, half day duty on Saturday and rest day during Sunday. My duties are to prepare her lunch, snacks and dinner, wash and iron her clothes and some household course when I’m free.

Right now I am working in Moscow, Russian Federation as live-in caregiver/housekeeper from 2007 of November till present. I started taking care of two kids, seven years old boy (Oleg) and a one year and nine months old girl name Nikol. My duties are preparing their meals and snacks, wash and iron kid’s clothes and clean kid’s room. I walked with Nikol four times in a week every morning and afternoon to playground. Nikol right now is in kinder garden, she have classes during Wednesday and Thursday but she has another nanny who brought her to school during that days since I need to stay at home to prepare the meals and for general cleaning during Monday and Friday. When Oleg turns eight his parents decided to take him from my obligation as his nanny in exchange of specific household course like preparing meals for everybody, washing and pressing all family home dress and selected clothes, clean the house every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is quite difficult at the beginning I admit, but through prayers, self-determination and proper time management, I manage to handle all the task with care.

Most of my friends call me Eman. My hobbies are playing billiard, reading books, and watching action, comedy and adventure movies. I like spending time and doing some games with kids. I can be their best friend who can discipline them, I can be a cook who can feed them with a nutritious meals, I can be their broom and duster to make their surroundings neat and clean, and I can be their bathroom to make them fresh all day.

I enjoy the company of “Seniors” too. Listening from their stories gives clues and hints for our future and that might save us from getting lost. We all know that mostly of senior’s character change and a matter of tickles might rather save some game.

I love cooking. I have learned mostly of Russian traditional dishes and in return I also introduce my native dishes in which they like it too. I like Italian dish also, from flour to pasta and from dough to bread up to pizza. I have some sort of Indian recipes which I still cook sometimes, specially when my employer suggested it for dinner. I learned it from one Indian guy who work in my employer's spa 3 years ago. Being determined and focused we can work more diligently and clean. Awareness and carefulness can make our work easy and faster.

Lastly, I love dog and cat, they are my favourite pets ever. I also have experience taking care of Iguana and raccoon, Iguana is just simply like a picture but when they feel your kindness,they will allow you to touch them and feed using your hands. Raccoon's are wild and my employer bought one a month ago and Money is her name. She is quite aggressive for the past few weeks but later on she become sweet and adorable, she likes to eat all the time but she wants different flavours. she is fun of sniffing every corners of the house doesn't matter she sniff that hundred times and when she is out of her cage, attention is a must! I like petting her because she is like a pillow or a staff toy, her tummy is very soft and fer are thick but a bit soft.

You may wonder why I am still trying my best to find another job and to be honest, it is much comfortable working in the place where I can communicate to people freely and I can express my thought and emotions. Working in a place where 2 out to 10 people can understand the language I was using to communicate with them is quite difficult. I try learning their language but there is no any emotions because they have different ways of constructing phrases and sentences. Sometimes I offended them because the pronunciation of one word is similar to another word which has a different meaning or they will laugh at me because I sound funny trying to explain what I mean. Well the best thing I learned here is action lauder than words, and in other way that helps me a lot.
