Location: Old Town, Fort Collins, CO
Housing: Rent-free in exchange for light personal assistance and overnight presence
Availability: Starting June 2026
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
I'm James, a nutrition professor at Colorado State University who lives independently in a modern apartment in Old Town Fort Collins. I'm looking for a responsible, kind person to share my home as part of a cultural exchange arrangement.
In exchange for rent-free housing, shared meals, and a weekly allowance for personal expenses, you'd help with light personal assistance and be present overnight most nights.
WHAT THIS INVOLVES
Light personal assistance:
Helping manage errands, groceries, and mail
Keeping shared spaces tidy
Occasional scheduling or coordination support
Light household tasks as needed
This isn't a full-time job. I'm not looking for someone to work every day. Just someone willing to pitch in and help keep things running smoothly.
Overnight presence:
Be present overnight (roughly 10 PM to 6 AM) at least five nights per week
Most nights are quiet and uninterrupted
I have a spinal cord injury and use a wheelchair. I have a care team that helps me during the day. Occasionally something comes up at night and I might need a hand with something simple like adjusting a blanket or repositioning. You're not providing care—just a calm, reliable presence.
