Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Job Description
We are seeking an English native speaker babysitter or au-pair for our 1.5 year old son Nick. Both parents are Italian and lived in the USA for more than 20 years. Nick was born in the US.
We are looking for an experienced girl that can pick him up from kindergarden in the afternoon (around 16:00) and spend a few hours with him until dinner time, speaking only English to him (and to us). Fluency in Italian is neither required nor necessary.
On a case-by-case basis, we might need help in the evening and/or weekends. I do not expect it to be on a regular basis, and we are open to working around the babysitter's schedule.
Availability to travel with us occasionally would also be a plus: we sometime spend a few days at Nick's grandparents, or a few days at the beach. We could consider an au-pair arrangement with the right candidate.
About us: we recently relocated to Italy from the Washington DC area. My wife took a break from work while I am an executive in the high-tech sector. We live in the heart of Bologna, literally a stone away from the towers and Piazza Maggiore. Nick is a fun, energetic, inquisitive, talkative little human being.
