Introduction

Dear Family,
My name is Monica Daniela, and I am truly excited about the possibility of becoming part of your family as a nanny. Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of caring for children between the ages of 2 and 15 in both Mexico and Spain, working closely with families to create safe, nurturing, and enriching environments. I bring to this role not only professional nanny experience but also a background in psychology and volunteer work with children in hospital settings.
My Experience with Families
For six years, I worked as a nanny for high-profile families between Mexico City and Madrid. In Madrid, I cared for three wonderful children ages 5, 7, and 10, where my daily responsibilities included helping with homework, organizing after-school activities, planning recreational play, and ensuring consistent routines. In Mexico City, I also supported families with children aged 5 to 15, adapting to the unique developmental needs of each age group. One of my strengths is balancing the needs of siblings of different ages, making sure each child feels supported, engaged, and valued.
A key part of my role also involved international travel with the families. I organized and managed logistics to ensure children’s safety and comfort during trips abroad. I understand how important discretion, flexibility, and professionalism are when working with families, especially those who may have demanding schedules or unique needs.
Volunteer Work in Children’s Hospital
In addition to my nanny experience, I volunteered in the oncology unit of a children’s hospital in Mexico City. This experience was very meaningful to me, as I supported children of different ages (from 2 to 15 years old) who were undergoing cancer treatment. My responsibilities included engaging them in play-based activities, offering emotional support, and adapting games or creative exercises to their energy levels and medical restrictions. This opportunity helped me develop patience, empathy, and the ability to bring positivity even in challenging circumstances.
Educational Background
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanistic Psychology from Universidad Gestalt in Mexico. I also completed study abroad programs in the United States and Canada, which gave me valuable exposure to multicultural environments. My academic background equips me with knowledge in child development, emotional intelligence, and effective communication with both children and parents.
Certifications and Training
I am currently in the process of completing First Aid & CPR certification, which I consider essential for ensuring children’s safety. In addition, I have completed specialized workshops and conferences related to child psychology and behavior, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Behavioral Issues in Children, a Personal Development Project at Universidad Panamericana, and participation in an Annual Psychology Update Conference. These trainings have enriched my ability to support children not only in their daily routines but also in their emotional and cognitive development.
Languages and Cultural Skills
I am fluent in Spanish, speak advanced English (C1), and have basic knowledge of French (A1). My multilingual abilities allow me to communicate effectively with children and parents in diverse cultural environments. I also love introducing children to new languages and cultures, whether through conversation, games, or creative activities.
Personal Qualities
Families I have worked with describe me as responsible, trustworthy, and caring. I believe in building relationships with children based on respect, patience, and empathy. I am naturally energetic and creative, so I enjoy organizing arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading, and educational activities that combine fun with learning. At the same time, I know the importance of maintaining structure, clear boundaries, and safety at all times.
I also value open and honest communication with parents. I see the nanny role as a partnership: while my main responsibility is to care for and support your children, I also strive to make your daily life easier by helping with routines, organization, and coordination within the household.
Availability and Flexibility
I am available for live-in positions and fully open to relocation and international travel. I adapt easily to new environments and cultures and find it very rewarding to integrate into a family’s lifestyle while maintaining professionalism and boundaries.
Closing
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your family’s well-being and to support your children as they grow, learn, and thrive. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my introduction. I would love to connect with you, answer any questions, and learn more about your family’s needs.
Warm regards,
Monica Daniela
