I come from a family of teachers. It is a natural instinct of mine to be patient with every individual and adjust to match the best way for them to learn and understand the content being taught. I have been around ADD/ADHD Autistic children and tend to be more compatible with their uniqueness and do not feel them as deficient in any way. I feel they actually have special skills and talents that may not fit into the mainstream but are valuable for the world. This is why I am particularly interested in working with these kids because I feel It is important to share with them a safe environment to explore and find joy and happiness for who they are and that their differences can be used for the betterment of themselves and their community.
